Happening Now! HVAC work at WES

I spy...a big crane at Washington Elementary!

This summer, we’re replacing HVAC components at both Washington and Eisenhower. This week, the amazing crew from BCS is removing the old equipment and placing the new. These projects were chosen after months of careful work by our Facilities Committee. They worked with BCS, our HVAC partner, to review building data across the district and identified the most urgent needs.

We focused on the components that were most critical because a failure in them could mean school would not be able to be held. Fixing them now helps keep our schools open, safe, and ready for learning. We also made sure our decisions fit into a long-term plan. We chose projects that protect learning right now and make sense for the future.

This is a major investment of more than $650,000, and we made it with intention. Our goal: fix what’s most urgent, use district funds wisely, and share with you about what we’re doing—and why.

Thank you for supporting our schools as we take care of our buildings and plan for the future.
